How fast can I fly? Or how long does it take to get to Vegas?

Typical general aviation planes fly at 100 to 150 knots.  To put that in layman’s terms, 100 knots is 115mph or 15% faster than miles per hour.  A typical flight from LA or Van Nuys to Vegas would take about two hours, give or take a little depending on the winds that will affect your flight.  Some of the more high performance planes you could fly can make it in an hour or so.
